The design is based off the classic watch cap that became the standard cold-weather headwear for the US military in the mid-twentieth century.

The Norse Beanie is knitted from 100% Super Geelong lambswool, an Italian yarn spun to 2/26000 Nm in a 7 gauge, 1-ply construction. The result is a fine, dense knit with a soft handle and reliable warmth for its weight.

Manufacturing

Maglificio Fiesole

The Norse Beanie is knitted in Italy by Maglificio Fiesole. Founded in 1970 just outside Florence, Maglificio Fiesole is a family-run knitwear factory with a long tradition in fine gauge production. Hand-finishing and modern machinery work side by side in the workshop, producing knitwear that carries the clarity and restraint of Italian craftsmanship.
